1967 Shelby GT350 Oil Pressure Line

I understand that the oil pressure line (the one running from the block to the under dash gauge pod) was clear plastic on the early cars.  Did this stay consistent through the 67 model year, or did it (the material) change over time?

Very astute, Rod   I had heard that some cars have had hard lines installed, but I wasn't sure if that was an aftermarket add or if some came with a hard line.

Copper line is a somewhat common aftermarket replacement for the original plastic line used throughout 67 Shelby production.

If you check e-Bay, you will find a number of Stuart Warner kits available with the nylon tubing.

Bob G, if I recall correctly, there is something specific about the fittings on the '67 Shelbys? They were steel not brass or something like that? Will you please help and let us know what is correct?  Thanks

Yes the fittings were plated steel and not made of brass.

  I meantioned the "no copper" because - over time (short time) the copper cracks and then leaks all over.
