says unavailable .  I used to buy these and had some issues.  its a great protector  BUT the cost is an issue to some people

$110  plus shipping.  with todays UPS and fedex rates with oversize probably $60 to ship an empty crate.  When you tell people you won't charge them for the container if they return it they find out how much the cost is when they try to return it  and its $60 so they end up keeping it even if its $170 .  I had one that people kept returning to me at meets and it took many months.  they are good for 3 trips and then they are worn out.  what I do now is make my own wood crate.  they are good for one trip across the country  if you spend a little time and make it right .  Need  2x4s   1/2-5/8  wafer board .  plenty of phillips drywall screws  , reversible drill with bit,  circular saw .  tape measure and a square .  $30  worth of materials  . if you can't do it yourself find a handyman  or ask your local ace hardware if they know anyone.  Its an hrs work if you hustle

I have one of the Scribner Plastics transmission boxes that I shipped my T-10 for rebuild.  Sent it to Washington state a few years back and it did really well.  As Jim indicates, you will need some hardware [nuts and bolts] to secure it shut and properly secure the tranny inside the container.  Worked out extremely well on both ends and now it makes a perfect storage unit for the rebuilt transmission.  I recommend it as it really protected it well.  I think I paid about $200 to ship the tranny from Dallas to Washington about 4 years ago.

All the best,

I've used those and made it to Australia. Still have one and a couple of their rear end third member cases.

Not sure what you paid but David Kee sells these outstanding toploader - specific shipping cases for $150 each. Got this one a couple days ago. Very happy with David's prices and his work. This picture shows the bottom half of the case after you take out the 8 bolts that secure the lid to the bottom.
