Quote from: Engineer on April 11, 2025, 09:27:03 AMMany years ago I read or was told that the need for the second printing (and then the black and white service printing) was related to the Hertz cars (GT350H).

No one at Shelby American expected the order to be "1,000" GT350H.

Many of the Hertz did not have an owners manual supplement when they came up for resale.

Very true

Years ago at a garage sale spotted some mustang and shelby stuff. One was a GT350 manual was not going to purchase, but the lady made me an offer of $10 for everything.

Took it and now years later we purchased a 66 GTH, no manuals in it

Guess what I pulled out and is in its glove box.

Haven't heard any history of if these were placed in the cars when they left SA or if they were placed in the cars after sale at a dealership. Ford owners manual and other parts of the manuals were handled in the fashion.   Distribution would be very different, as far as version, if the later was typical

Since some of the manuals (High performance, Safety and so on)  were handled later I wonder if that affected the Shelby specific manual.
