Trying to determine the correct transmission ID and markings that should be on my 67 GT350 was built 4/25/67 car #2087.
I'm a rookie here when if comes to transmission markings and decoding, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

If it's a standard, check out David Kee Toploader's site. He has an I'd chart.

It's a standard, thanks I'll check it out.

Were the 67 GT350's with standard trans a wide or close ratio? Or both?

The transmission tag should be Rug, Rug 1 or Rug 2....

Your car is a 4 speed and it should be very easy to determine if it's original to the car.
The Ford number is stamped on the bottom and very easy to access

The car is missing the correct transmission. I'm trying to source a date correct transmission.

Transmission could be an HEH-BX depending on when the car was built. Contact 67 Registrar at dmathews@prodigy.net for correct transmission and tag info.

This is where to look for a Ford VIN stamping...

and on the other (passenger side) where the transmission tag would attached.

also Part engineering ID and the casting date code (red oval area) which was a screwed on tag into the casting mold and sometime are upside-down.

(Note the Image file names are not related to the car VIN's on these two images)
