I have posted before on the E cars Ford is launching, and the Rivian, Aamazon, Microsoft connections.
Truly, I like the rumble of a strong V-8, or a V-12 at hi rpm song.
But, we are moving forward and NEED to look forward.
Shelby E and the Mach E are not for me, but will be for the younger pups among us.

Interesting. IMHO the Mustang needs a price advantage to compete.  It does not have the panache of the Tesla brand.  I would also be surprised if a new Administration takes office, the tax credits don't get reinstated for all brands, including Tesla.

Actually, the combined companies above, bring lots of world attention,

The one I like is the Shelby E coming, which is out of Tesla's league with no comparable models.
Our mustang brand name is world known.

The motor company has released a first look at the new Ford Mustang Cobra Jet 1400, which can reach speeds of 150-plus miles per hour. During a test of the prototype, Ford says that the car was able to complete a quarter-mile length in 8.27 seconds at a speed of 168 mph.

I just heard about the E cobra Jet this morning. 8 second passes
IMAGINE a AWD full bodied Mustang CJ, perhaps mid 5 sec qrt runs?

People do need to know that Mustangs heritage will go further into legend and history.

If after the tax credit, the two are nearly the same price, Ford is going to have to out perform and out-range the Tesla to have staying power, let alone scale up to profitability.

If they can't do that, then they will have to be significantly cheaper.
