Shelby GT 500 Fastback This Shelby Mustang Gt 500 was sold new at Holiday Ford in Sunnyvale California and was parked in the early 80's. Restoration was later undertaken and completed in 2019 and is now part of an estate sale. The car is powered by a rebuilt 428ci Police interceptor V8 and paired with a Ford Toploader four speed transmission. It's finished in Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue Le Mans racing stripes and a black interior. Blue GT500 identification and stripes are on the rocker panels. Factory options include a 3.50:1 (changed to 3.00) rear differential, power steering, power disc brakes, extra cooling package, Sport Deck rear seat, tilt-away steering wheel, AM radio, shoulder harnesses and tachometer. This GT500 is offered as part of an estate sale in the San diego area with a build and order sheets, a dealer invoice, some stock parts, an Elite Marti Report and a clean California Title. Stock Shelby 10 spoke aluminum wheels (15X7) are mounted plus an additional spare wheel in the trunk. Power assisted front dick brakes were included from the factory. marchal fog lightsare equipped up front and rectangular chrome reflectors are fitted at the rear. The cabin is trimmed in black vinyl with bucket seats up front and an optional Sport Deck seat in the rear. The steering wheel is a Tony Branda Shelby mustang 15" wood with polished spokes. Factory equipment includes visibility and interior groups, power steering and shoulder harnesses. The car retained Shelby Delux belts (belts restored with original tags), interior piller pads and a factory rubber roll bar cover. Further options include a tilt away steering wheel, tachometer, trip odometerand AM radio. The restored 5-digit odometer shows approximately 200 miles. The 428 Police interceptor V8 is equipped with the original Holly four barrel carburator and was optioned with the factory extra cooling package. Motor rebuild was performed by Maeco Motorsport in Northridge California. The rebuild included: Full balance, ARP bolts, 7105 Edelbrock intake manifold, 60058 Edelbrock heads, Comp Cams 32-222-3 camshaft, 8805 Edelbrock aluminum water pump. The headers are from JBA and the exaust system is a 3" with Spin Tech mufflers and an H pipe. Maeco also rebuilt the suspension and converted it with a Shelby drop which slightly lowers the frontso that it's not nose high. Koni shocks are on all corners with new leaf springs on the rear and new coils on the front. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual Toploader transmission and freeway friendly 3.00 gears with a Detroit "soft locker" differential.

The price is $88,000 and offered as an estate sale for immediate delivery.

Side-Oilers

Cool license plate.  Price seems very reasonable, if it's the real deal.
