Hi---looking  @1969 Shelby owners manual and it list 1957 A as replacement bulbs for tail light, however same bulbs appear to be amber, is this correct or are they just 1957 [without A] which would be clear---thank you for verification

Tail light bulbs are 1157 and are clear, not amber

The owners manual is in error

1157 is clear
1157A is amber (opaque, like it's painted)
1157NA is "Natural Amber" (clear amber glass).  Many cars have 1157A's installed when bulbs went out "Back in the day", in applications where the 1157NA was factory.
