69 GT350 fastback qtr window seal

I've attached pictures of the rubber quarter window pivot seal where I have it placed in the slot in the metal structure. Is that where the rubber seal goes or does it go in the slot of the Fiberglas side panel?

it slides into the side panel to seal off the cutout slot in fiberglass panel. These rubbers are often pushed down when cleaning the car or often slide down when car is taken apart and not reinstalled correctly when at aosmith plant after installing the rollbar mounting in the shelby in some cases posibly.
