A semigloss black remember the booster was painted with the mastercylinder and cap as a unit so all of those should be black as well.  After paint the fluid sticker was applied (that's another subject).

Same color as the engine bay?

Same color as the engine bay?

If your going for a factory like look the Brake booster and master cylinder would have been painted far away from where the car was being built so the amount of shine or flatness would differ due to the use of different plant brands, types, weather conditions and so on.  So no they would not match just like most brackets, pulleys and other semi-gloss black items on the car

Would say for me the booster and master cylinder were a slightly shinier final look than the engine compartment on a 67 they may have used a lacquer paint so that it would dry quicker for their purposes

A few shots of NOS ones from the period to provide an idea of the gloss level of the paint applied by Midland

Different application but same suppler  as well as same paint and results

Note too the red paint daubs on the check valve and the booster body as shown in Jeff's images. those were present after a specified date when the check valve was changed over to a different version in the assembly build at San Jose or changed as a recall on earlier cars.

+1. Not a Shelby thing but a Mustang thing

Three variations

1- Pre-recall = no red daubs

2- Red daub on check valve only = built during or after first recall

3- Two daubs (check valve &  booster)  = built during or after second recall and fix

Of course you will find earlier cars with the later "fixed" check valve and or booster if they returned to the dealer to get the updates/fixes.  Just would not be their original parts :)

There are likely examples that were sitting at Shelby or enroute or at dealerships that may have also recieved the latest upgrade. One of the things to look for those cars would be the day of the first sale.  Fix could have been done at the selling dealership predelivery

And the stamped Ford logo means over the counter replacement?

The stamped Ford logo in the booster case means it is a over the counter replacement.

Would production cars built after the recall have the paint daubs as delivered?  Also would the FoMoCo  oval be present on these cars?

The Fomoco oval was not used in production. Paint daubs in production on the dates noted in Jeff's reply.
