Here's better photos. Cool vintage look.
To be fair you might have started the topic asking to identify the shifter  knob. Which according to another poster would be a 67 to early 68 knob due to not having the ring around it. A common phrase for the shifter itself is "shifter Handle" as that is what I search ebay for and if you do one you will find shifter itself called a shifter handle. 1969 knobs have the ring/groove(repo below sold by SEMO)

Agree a cool look. So no one reading gets the wrong idea the 69 Mustang/Shelby shift lever does not have a reverse lock out cross bar . 65-67 Mustang /Shelby does .

I know this is slightly off topic, but just a caution to anyone looking for a '69 4 speed handle - the '69 three speed handle is very similar in appearance but as I recall, the attaching bolt spacing is different on the base so it will not work on a 4 speed controller.

Special Ed

3 speed handle and knob are both smaller thread diameter.

NukeGT

NOS 68 Cougar & 69 Cougar/Shelby 4spd shift knob I got way before the repros came. Looks darker with finer grain markings.

NukeGT

68 Cougar Deluxe 3Spd Shift knob since they were also mentioned but seldom seen. Earlier knob without the groove just a seam from mold.

This is what a knob with the grain completely worn off looks like. It really has very little value

They can be restored. At one time Ed was getting Cougar knobs restored. I got one I want restored but also have an NOS one for my car.

This is an open concours forum, not a critique of your for sale part and YOU ASKED !

You can try to sell a $30 knob for $500 all day, no one cares. You only embarrassed yourself. People might be interested in what's correct in the concours section.

If you don't like the reality feedback, post in the lounge with your friends. Why didn't you attack Bob Gaines when he said the same thing? See reply 5

Regarding restoration, sure you can do it. Tell me how many cores you want at $500 each and I will send you a box full.
