tail light wiring fun

So for once I have a comment instead of a question ( I know crazy right ).  I'm restoring the tail light wiring, it is an early one with the pvc type plastic tubing between each socket that is soldered together, and thinking about a guy or gal at SA making a living at a table doing the exact same thing that I'm doing now. Soldering these wires together, installing the new plastic sleeve etc and it just made me smile how hand built parts of our cars are.  That's really special to me.

  I think I know the photo you are referring to.  Now imaging all those studs on the back side of the fiberglass....being in a slightly different location. Different on ever piece.  No wonder there are usually 4-5 holes drilled in the tail light panel at each stud on the car to get the entire structure to fit.

Yes, very hand-built on a number of segments of the work to turn them into '67 Shelby's.

(earliest '67 did not have the plastic tubing/sleeves, just loose  wires with butt connectors across the left and right sides of the units.
