Right Chris,    in the "intersport" commercials 6S398 is used.
In Jean-Pierre Versini's French magazine: Mustang & Shelby magazine N ° 10 from April-May-June 2016 six pages are devoted to 6S398 who is still in France

Are you certain this article shows the '66 GT350 with the license plate 'TEN 10" as 6s398 ?

Photos of that car show it is a carryover (no reverse lights)
That should have a VIN sequence number ending on or before 6s252

The white 66 without Le Mans stripes above has the rectangular Autolite air cleaner decal which means it's a pretty
early car.

As Chris Nos said it is not 6S398 but a photo taken during the 1966 Tulip rally

I think we are all saying the same thing with different words

The GT350 in the 'Tulip Rally' April 25-28th 1966, as #2, is NOT 6s398
- I mentioned previously, it appears to be a carryover VIN (no reverse lights).
- That would be between 6s001 and 6s252


My confusion was with 'joehpil's statement

I misread the magazine issue 'N ° 10' as the license plate 'TEN 10".

I found a video of a 1966 GT350 at Le Mans in 1966. It doesn't have the stripes and arrived before June 1966. I don't know its SFM.

All,  I asked my Canadian French translator here at work to provide a brief summary of audio.
here's what he sent:

"The ford issue is resolved.     (XGT-2 collision during practice with P1029, #63 shown in video beginning ??)
The Shelby teams cars will be on the starting grid tomorrow.
The accident during practice caused serious damage but the pilot is ok. A good advised is to be safe on the road of la Sarthe.

The discussion in the car is with Guy Ligier at the wheel evoking the particularities of the Le Mans circuit.
how to race on this track. What gears to be in at different place on the track, speeds they are going, when to brake before the apex and where to be on the track, staying in the middle of the track where the bump is because the car will lift off."
