Doug Dyar,
Missed the point.
The world likes to use 0-60 mph, I don't set the stds shows and magazines like to use
I think Fords point is that it is faster than others to 60 mph because it hits 62 mph. AND in less time.
Could be wrong.
Regardless>> it is an amazing speed and time.
Bob>> I had read something about that GT 40 van years ago, good memory.
Is this the first futuristic exotic in the world?
Size of an ac cobra, but built in 1935 !

If it starts it's streetable.
Overkill is just enough.

Loved the action shot of it coming out of the corner with the left front wheel lifted a foot off the track.
I guess history has repeated itself?

A little late to the party Ford, meet the newest electric challenger at Goodwood that set a new track record.

That race car is like something out of movie.
Its grip is unbelievable.
I would imagine that pushing it to its limits, would get real scary.
Congrats is due to the company, for a super engineered electric race car with a dynamic clean appealing design !

I do not know if the Ford van is remotely a challenge for it?
Maybe they will slip a gt body on the chassis, nah !

Ford is all in now, as it has been accepted to race the Hill and the cars are ready.

CSX4133, yep they are late, if they do get close to the newly set record, that too is an accomplishment above
all other world manufacturers, but what if we break it ?
We are built FORD tough you know >>>>>

Here is the ten fastest of 2022, the Ford van is included. The electric's are indeed fast, but their exhaust note (is that even a thing with electrics) is a soulless cacophony of high pitched whining.

Here is the a video that describes the car with this years top time at Goodwood. If the technology behind it's fan system sounds familiar it should if you've followed Can-Am racing back in the seventies. Jim Hall developed a Can-Am car that used a vacuum system which was subsequently "outlawed" which was amazingly fast, but spewed debris at it's competitors.

I AGREE >>> is a soulless cacophony of high pitched whining.
But what are we to do ?
The Ford hangs with them, but this new car is astounding.
I never realized Jim Hall used a vacuum system.
I know he and his brother were highly involved in the design and build on the Mazda Miata.

They have started E racing leagues, I am still for the rumble of a gasoline powered car though.

I think that Ford selected a "van" because the rights to the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile could not be obtained.
