Bought this for my car a couple years ago and found out because of my date code my car does not need this. $500.00-Sold

Sold  i will buy it and yes its an often understood part that only fits early 69 cars not all low gear cars like people used to think.

I have a '69 transmission in my '67 and am not concealing that. Should I keep the gear reducer with the transmission? I actually have two of them now. What should I do with them?

I'm sorry for barging in on this but these situations make me feel so INADEQUATE!
::)

It's OK. Give me a little while. I'll calm down.

Ed. Can you expand on the only fits early'69 cars. Do later '69 and '70 drag pack cars (and Boss 9, etc.) have matching plastic gears internally and on the speedo cable so that this piece is not required for their 3.91 and 4.30 rear gears? Thanks

Back in the 80s 90s everybody thought all v-w codes 3;91. 4;30 cars used gear reducers and so many cars were missing them so guys were buying them for there cars thinking they were missing them. I seen too many low mile 69 b9s that didnt have gear reducers so i started researching this and when i found my 69 MPC i looked up the reducer and c9zz-17260-f cable and the book says they dont get used after jan 30 69 or so and that makes sence since so many late 69 bosses and scjs dont have them but ford started useing them again in 1970 v-w codes. Why i dont know for sure but the reducer uses the same plastic tooth gear when using the reducer or not so i think its not for reducing but for a more accurate reading or something and i can see it being used especially on 4;30 cars.
