oil filler cap

HI---is it possible to identified difference between reproduction and original oil filler cap---I do know that 69 Shelby after April 69 was getting black cap with black plastic elbow--however on my cap there IS AUTOLITE IN raised letters , but nothing on grumet or elbow---Thank U

John, I am not aware of the black painted caps being used, but its possible.

The original chrome caps said Autolite on them. The reproductions are very good and only have a slight difference on the bottom of the caps, not visible when installed.

The plastic elbow is correct and has no visible markings. The grommet likely has some Ford numbers on it.
