In 2006 forty years after they first teamed up, Carroll Shelby and the Hertz Corporation reunited to create a new run of Shelby rental cars, the GT-H . All with their unique C. S. M. number.

 This would become 40th anniversary Hertz Shelby, the GT-H, and then followed by another round of Shelby GT-Hs in 2007

With Ford Racing Handling Pack, 25 extra horses over a stock Mustang GT, and unique Shelby styling, the GT-H brightened up a lot of business trips and vacations.

These new unique examples if the GT'H where made in small batches :

2006.  500 units  40th anniversary
2007.  500 units
2016.  171 units   50th anniversary

The success of the GT-H led directly to the creation of the new Shelby GT Mustang line
