What are the typical numbers/ letters on the hood hinges?

A fellow enthusiast paid a visit and was asking questions about it.  He thought my hood hinges were from a 1970 based on his reading of the code.
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

66 and 70 hood hinges don't interchange so I guess your comparing the date codes. Correct?

66 upper - 70 lower
