I had an early Capri V6 with a Shelby Spearco turbo kit on it. Little thing was fast. The down side was its pull through design that was hard starting. Right after I got it we were on a Palms to Pines run (Beach to Palm Springs via Ortega Hwy) and COCOAs prez was leading in his 66 GT350 when we got to one of the long straights he decided to open it up. Each time he looked in his mirror the little Capri was glued to his bumper. At the stop he asked what had been done to the Capri. I said completely stock except for the exhaust. He said headers and walked away shaking his head after I said turbo.....
