yes zip code was started in 63 but not used much until late 60s from what i seen.  I seen ford papers in  67-68  era without zip code but 69 papers with zip codes so as time goes on more zip codes show up being used.

With THREE days left, it's at $4000 U. S. Dollars

Is this a great country or what !

Same as the cars I would assume.  5% buyer commission, max $5k.

Base listing fee for seller, $99 or $250 for plus package (pics)

Great auction.

Heres my prediction, if that was made by someone, there will be some more soon...

Initially, we were involved and going to be the ones to get that sign at any cost. However, further detective work all, but makes certain that that sign is made up. Ironically, the owner is about an hour from me and I contacted him to ask if I could come look at it personally. Radio silence that's a pretty. Good indication of what it is.

Bat recently adjusted the (buyers') fee, was 5% capped at $100,000.00 now capped at $150,000.00...

"...How Our Fees Work
Sellers pay a $99 listing fee, with the option to add our Plus photo service for an additional $330. There are no other seller fees on BaT.
Buyers pay a 5% fee on top of the final sale price to BaT, with a minimum of $250, and capped at $7,500.
Contact us for pricing of our White Glove Service...."

I did notice a sign shop in the small town he lives that makes plastic signs, probably just a coincidence. 😉

Wonder why the sign was already crated up and you wanted to inspect it closely to see how it was assembled. Why even worry about crating sign till auction was over as the new buyer could pick up sign just like picking up car at sellers house after auction and save all that time and money making that special size crate. And if it wasnt crated u could get better detailed photos for auction. Does anybody know if any interested buyer were allowed to inspect sign at sellers house or know where seller got sign from 20 years ago like the auction says?

Well, I reached out to him and wanted to go look at it because it's only about an hour away from me and got radio silence.
