Were all of the 1965-1966-1967 Group II Shelby Race Car Coupes "K" Code Cars? If not, were they C, D, or A Code?

There were no 65's that I recall.

Short answer is all Group I's and II's for 66-67's were originally built as K codes.

The "twist" is that some of the 67's were given new serial numbers for the 68 season when they were "updated"

Was the Coupe SA entered in the last TransAm race in 66 a K? It was taken off a local car lot and prepped in less than a week. Story is Dart was going to win the title and CS was told by Ford to enter a car in the last race. Titus was of course chosen to drive.
There were also a couple privateers in the race with SA connections.
HiPerf Motors' Ray Wolff had entered his car with Chuck Cantwell as the codriver.
Al Dowd had paid the entry money for Don Pike with John Timanus as codriver.
The Shelby American entry didn't make the printing deadline for the program. Titus drove the whole 4 hours and won.
Both the Wolff and Pike cars were probably built after hours in the SA shop.
