1965 Shelby GT 350R Race car that is the new build by the well-respected, top engineering genius Pete Hood of his famous Charlie Kemp #23 top Shelby race car, looking as the original with Kemp's famous dayglo front bumper so everyone could see him coming, see the photo of this car in the infield at Daytona, it featured superior handling and set many winning records, one can find the Kemp #23 in all the racing archives plus there is a model of this famous car. The original ShelbyGT350R when raced by Charlie Kemp finished 42 races and won 34 .Winning 17 races in a row. It had the highest top speed for a GT350 ever recorded of 184 MPH. Hear the awesome sound of this very strong radical Pete Hood engine that produces a massive 504 horsepower with 14.1 compression that shows in the dyno sheet, this uses race gas for such a high output, note that here is a fresh race car
build that is even far better than the original since the new racing rules now allow the 302CID block and uprated heads, this is set up for great race car superior handling is perfected, correct Shelby Wimbledon White with Blue striping along with rear window support, built from an original, rare San Jose 'R model' 2+2 as a dated production unit, exception chassis with special support as the roll cage was built into the original
construction yielding a more solid chassis, this is even better handling than the original #23, a stripped interior with interior roll bars, a Racemark racing seat and race belts, note the famous #23 first sold for $1,300,000 by Fraser Dante with RM at Amelia Island and then resold at the $2,000,000 level as this is such a famous car ...this has proper paint and a solid body, a serious vintage race car that is built by a top famous professional technician!  This car was test driven and skid pad tested and set up by Charlie Kemp.
