Some want to discount the value, time and effort that was put into this magnificent revival program to bring back these "Holy Grail Cars".

We do agree they made countless mustang's / shelby  models, but when you drill down into those numbers, then break it down to the Shelby C.S.M. cars and then again into the specialty vehicles you will find unique models such as the 2012-15 GT350s and of course the amazing Black & Gold GTHs.

With low production numbers the 2011 GT350 (170),  2012 GT350 (132), 2013 GT350 (36), 2014 GT350 (87), 2006 GTH (500), 2007 GTH (500), 2016 GTH (172)

And who was right in the middle of this "Comeback Process" of "The Black and Gold Legends" , "the GTHs"the "GTs", who else but Carroll Hall Shelby himself, the Legend.

The heritage and lineage goes straight back to the "Maestro Carroll Shelby" and of course "The Real Ones"

And YES people have and  are restoring these new magnificent SHELBYs, actually Mr. Troy Krueger purchased a  GTH # 229 and went through a very thorough restoration process.  What a work of art he produced.

The end result was a restoration that was second to none on this particular "Cult Car" .

How can we forget this last Shelby Hertz GT500H ?

With only 25 made and over 900 horsepower this qualifies it as an instant classic and I would even dare to say....a SUPER CAR !

Before we start it's to expensive, blah, blah, blah...

This Shelby Hertz or Cult Car  is not for the financiallychallenged

The Shelby GT500-H Mustangs pay tribute to the original "Rent-A-Racer," the legendary 1966 Shelby GT350-H, and builds on Hertz's legacy to give customers the unique opportunity to drive elite, high-performance vehicles they can't access anywhere else.

Each of the 2022 Shelby Mustang Hertz models will be instantly recognizable with unique styling enhancements that celebrate a rich performance heritage. Nineteen of the Shelby GT500-H fastbacks will wear shadow black exterior paint and six, to honor Shelby American's 60th anniversary, will be clad in oxford white. All will be set off with gold "Le Mans" dual racing stripes and set of special rocker stripes, along with Hertz Edition and Shelby 60th anniversary emblems. Inside, Shelby and Hertz logos are on the seats, sill plates and floor mats; a numbered badge will be on the dash and under the hood. The supercharger on the Shelby GT500-H is gold hued for Hertz's livery.

Starting with Ford's world-class Shelby GT500, the 5.2L fastback boasts 900+ horsepower, aluminum forged mono-block wheels, performance spec tires, tinted windows, Shelby GT500-H badges, driver- and passenger-side stripes and much more. Shelby cut 30 pounds by replacing the stock hood with a vented, ultra-light dry carbon fiber one that is also much stronger.
