History of my 68 GT350 #02034?

I have owned my 68 GT350 for 3 years now.  I have tried collecting all the history on my car I can.  But hoping to fill in some gaps.

My car was sold new May 5 1968 out of Fogg Motors in New Westminster B.C. Canada.  I have the original "registration" for the vehicle so I know the name and address of the original owner.  He lived in Vancouver B.C. I have not been able to track down the original owner.  I have sent a letter to the address on the registration but received no response.

I tracked down the owner prior to the guy I bought the car from using documents that came with the car.  I spoke with the Canadian equivalent to our DMV and because I had the guy's name they contacted him and asked him if he liked to call me which he did.  He told me he only owned the car for about a year in 1993-94.  The car was painted black when he bought and sold the car and also had an automatic transmission.  He lived in Duncan B.C.  He could not remember who he purchased the car from.

The gentleman I purchased the car from had owned it from 1994 until I purchased it in 2015.  He lived in Victoria, B.C.  He returned the car to its original color of Lime Gold and returned it to its original 4 speed transmission.

So, I am only aware of 3 owners prior to me but have no confirmation there are no additional owners between the original owner and my current owner #2 who bought the car in 1993.  If there are any old time Shelby enthusiasts from the 70's thru the 90's in the Vancouver area or on the other side of the Strait of Georgia in the Duncan area that have any knowledge of #02034 either painted Lime Gold or Black I would love to hear about it.

Thank you,
Corey

Ahhh the chase..... I remember going through all of this to get the history of my 68 GT500 Vert #1394.  Keep digging Corey, hopefully all the blanks will be filled in over time.  It took me a couple of years but I went from having absolutely zero history on my car to a complete historical chain of all owners right back to the original buyer of my car.  It was an epic search for me and I kinda miss the chase but I ultimately achieved my goal.

Special thanks to the South Carolina DMV for all their help.

Keep at it Corey, the chase is a big part of the adventure.

Thank you for the advice and encouragement.

The tricky thing for me is it was a Canadian car its whole life.  I spoke with the Canadian equivalent of our DMV and hit a bit of a road block.  They did contact one PO because I had his name.  But they would not do any more for me.  If there are Canadians out there that know a way around this I would love to know.

I'm in the province of Ontario, Canada. Here you can do a search at the MTO (Ministry Of Transportation Ontario) of the history of a license plate. I understand you can find the name of the original owner of that plate. You said you hit a road block in B.C. so I'm not sure if they have the same system ?

If you have a photo of the car in period, and can see the tag one might be able to do that in British Columbia ?

There is a charge for that service, I don't know if this of any help.
