Green Hornet

Has the colour of the Green Hornet changed?
It looks Grabber Green to me.

Next to the Green Hornet on display this year at Barrett Jackson were four or five sign boards. This one attached talks about the colors. I apologize it is small but hope you are able to download and enlarge. Basically the car was lime gold and then later re-sprayed in a "candy" green. Craig Jackson and Jason Billups gave a talk on the Green Hornet and Little Red last Tuesday. If I recall correctly, Shelby American had one guy who did all the paint work for the special one-off and show cars and Craig Jackson said he was known for using "candy" paints.

Curious how the car runs with the Conelec F.I., compared to carburetor.

I have not driven the car, but I was there when the engine was dyno'd and also saw a few passes in the 1/4

Short answer is better mileage, better horsepower and more torque with the Conelec EFI

Yes, the color has changed. I would not called it Grabber, but something closer to Candy Apple Green. Some people at MCACN called it Bass boat green, because it really sparkles that much. Very neat looking for a non stock color. You may also notice the rocker stripes have reverted to all white.

  I agree with Pete.  I saw the car back when it was at a SAAC convention, and I saw it at last years MCACN show.  Lighter green now.  Candy color with more metal flake.

Pete i think the green hornet runs better because of those kool ultra RARE XE exhaust manifolds & intake where did they ever find them?  Has anybody posted any photos of the engine before it was installed as its hard to see the details under the hood once smog & a/c is installed?

  I think the intake has more "travel miles" on it than the car does. Quite an interesting story.

Well, I first bought that experimental intake off eBay about twenty five years ago. Remarkably, nobody else bid on it. It cost me a hell a lot of more to buy it back the second time.
