I would like to remove the lower side scoop to the rear of the door on a 1968 GT500.
I have found the two screws on the leading edge of the scoop that can be seen from the outside of the car.  Is there a fastener on the inside of the car that also needs to be loosened?  If so, how is the area accessed?

Thanks

Yes. Main stud is accessed from inside. The interior panel has to be removed, so you have to remove a bunch of interior trim panels. It's a pain to get to the one but.

Maybe, many convertibles had a large tube nut -the stud was pushed into it.

I do suggest looking for a nut first before you pull

Again, if convertible, the quarter window presents some challenges.  Good luck; don't damage it.

He didn't say when the car was built. Push nuts were not used on early cars. The tracks were cut open like they did them with a butter knife
