Hi Steve,

Have you seen this one?  The price is not horrible for as nice condition.  I do not know the seller.  Hopefully others will confirm it is orignal.

Is the part number you are after C5ZZ-18813-A.  Do you have the Ford MPC to verify?  If not, I can check tonight.

Hey Cory.  Thanks for getting back to me.  As you know, you and your group have been a GREAT help to me.

Yes, I was looking at this one.  It looks pretty good and hope others will comment.  The one on her now is a Ward but with a C7 marking and NO Ford marks on the cable...only Ward.  Looking to upgrade!!!  8) 8) 8)

Thanks AGAIN!!!

That looks like a nice antenna unfortunately it is the 67/68 style. 65/66 has the antenna mast not being able to collapse flush with the second mast section . It will typically stick up a inch or more from the second section. The 67/68 style will collapse flush with the second section as illustrated in the auction picture. FYI the 65 /66 style is the more common of the two for what ever reason so they typically come up more often then the 67/68 style like pictured in the auction. The correct ones are easy to spot at shows ,swap meets etc. once you are aware of the difference .

Hi Bob,

I knew you would know the differences and the right style for 65/66.   Is C5ZZ-18813-A the right part number?  Will the NOS C5ZZ-18813-A  part be more like a 67/68?

Thanks for sharing.

Cory

Thank you Bob.  Does anyone have a picture of the 65/66 style that Bob indicates???

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Hi Steve,

The Ford MPC shows the C5ZZ-18813-B as the service replacement for 65 to 68 Mustang.  So it is likely not the right one for 6S406 and is the later style.  I don't now about the C5ZZ-18813-A, but it is the same part number for the one Bob sent the link.  So I think you are after the -A version.

I do have a lead on another -A that I will send you in a PM.  You might be able to get a better price.

Thanks so much Bob and Cory. Cory, please send to email...you have it. I see the difference now. If no go and not too late, I shall pull the plug on Mr. Turner's...UGH! Nice part though!

Cheers,

Steve

Bob, I am confused here. The eBay Link(s) seems to show a mast that doesn't collapse completely.

Is that the '66 or '67 style?

kingchief

This is the earlier style with the extra step at the top of the mast that Bob is referring to.  Although the box has a C7ZZ number on it, Charles Turner [judge and Shelby Forum member] says it may have been a very early replacement.

Best regards,
