Shelby Small Block 4-barrel Aluminum Intakes, some but not all...

This was on the old SAAC Forum. Since there have been some intakes posted for sale lately and there were so many variations of Aluminum Shelby (Cobra) 4-barrel intakes made it's hard to know what's what at times.  Here is the last version trying to cover the variations of some (there are more) that were made.

Some were not in production very long and there is some overlap of years/use on others.  Some were "original equipment on Shelby's new prior to delivery" as well as over-the-counter and some just over-the-counter aftermarket.

As related to Shelby Mustangs I think that SOME (not all?) of the COBRA S1MS, S2MS and S7MS variations were used (or could have been used) on '65 through '68 GT350's.  Like many things Shelby not perfectly clear-cut parameters, others will know more...

This is great, it would be nice to have the years in which each one was used.

It is not that simple. For example, in May 1965 it seems there were versions cast by three foundries and machined in multiple shops.  In the early 1980s I got the idea that I would buy one of every casting version of COBRA lettered "high rise" intake for a display. By the time I bought a few I had come across something like seventeen versions of casting and a bunch of versions of machining (street, race multiple versions, use will milled heads) and assembly (heat shield, no heat shield). I literally stopped counting casting (and machining) versions and aborted the idea of a simple collection.

My questions would be, which casting and machining and assembly versions were used on :
1)   new street GT350s?
2)   new road racing GT350s?
3)   new drag racing GT350s?
4)   sold retail 1964-68?
5)     sold in new racing engines 1965-circa 1968

If you get a chance to revisit the original graphic (know there is not allot of room given the size and all the stuff you have going on right now in it) you might want to explain clearer what years it covers (the span of all the intakes) or individually what year(s) each one is appropriate for. Descriptors such as "late"  doesn't tell the viewer late 65, 66. 67, or  68

And then again there is also this, some don't even know of it, few have ever seen one. I so happen to have one with both tops. The Shelby Rambox in the 4V configuration with an optional 8V top. This was cast by BuddyBar.
