Normally a car of this caliber is behind a barrier of sorts. This was Mini Nats 30 I think. Bob Bondurant was here. CSX2299 was brought out from the Miller Motorsports. I even met the owner but all I remember was the conversation as to how much it was insured for to bring out to our event. I'm not going to say, but it was insured for a hell of alot! I was Vice Pres of NorCal at the time, and when someone says "Get In it" ugh, I don't hesitate...

Cheers,

I've got Coupes on the bucket list. I drove Carroll's Coupe at Willow Springs when Sports Car Graphic did an article on it. I drove one of Mike Shoen's Coupes in the Pacific Stereo parking lot when it was brought to a COCOA meeting. Both those drives were about 30 mph. Rode in Mike's other Coupe at Ontario Speedway during SAAC??. 3 down 3 to go - ok 4 if you count the Super Coupe.
SCG had to take out a million dollar rider on their insurance for the day.

We had some awesome cars in that parking lot "in the day"  Les Lindley's Mark II and Mark IV GT40s , real 427SC's  , fun days. 44 years later most club cars are replicas. Same for the car show turnout.
Celebrating 46 years of drag racing 6S477 and no end in sight.
