Painted it a week or so ago. Then sanded with 800 and recleared it. The sanded with 2000, 3000 and 5000. Looks pretty good.

The Going Thing

I remember when my car shell came back from paint after three years. The reassembly took me over two years to complete. Working the bugs out after reassembly is always fun. Looking good! Keep at it!

It is an exciting experience to see one come back to life again.  Congratulations to a great build!

Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

Nothing beats a classic!

The Going Thing

I am sure you're excited and it grows daily as you come closer to actually being able to drive it. I remember getting close to that stage!

You have to love that deep candy apple red.

You are probably having more fun than most of us during social distancing. I kind a wish my car was still apart so I could work on it 20 hours a day. Enjoy yourself this is definitely the best time.

All fun and games until you start cutting your hands and arms up working under the dash and reassembling the doors and window regulators. lol
My forearms and hands looked like I had a fight with Freddie Krueger. lol

Seems to me one of the most enjoyable times of ownership is the re-assembly time.
