I raised this question in the Lounge area in the past but didn't have pictures and figured it may be better suited in the 67 section. I need help identifying which one was my correct 67 GT500 4spd brace visually (can't find any numbers saying 390 etc.).  I removed some from cars this winter to clean and got them mixed up.

Number one is the black one on top and number 6 is the rusty elongated slot one on the opposite end. Number one is taller than 2,3 or 4 and the cutout on the right is simply rounded like the opposite side.  Number 2, 3 and 4 seem to be the same, have the pronounced cut-out on the right side but oddly number 4 has that half inch wide flat area on each side that seems wider then the other three and has that one small pointy area.
Number 5 and 6 I assume are for my 69 gt350 AT car and 70 Boss 302 which I believe are the same as regular cars? (with the exception of the C6 unique one).

I promise to label things better next time!

The FE C6 and 4 spd manual are different than small block automatic/manual mount. I posted pictures for you to show you the FE mount is taller side by side.

Based on the pictures you posted to the old posting in the Lounge it appears that the cross member I show first in the group photo painted black and with a paper tag attached is my 67FE cross member. It has the same cut out's as yours below where it mounts to the unibody and was taller than my others. Thanks for the validation and the pictures.

Mine is stamped 390 std and a date code and an R on the lip, I assume is for rear of car.  I will try to send pic. Rick

Are you trying to say 67-70 4 speed the same?

FE and SB aren't the same, as my statement says. It states that the FE 4spd and FE C6 are different and only for the FE. The Small block four speed and C4 are all the same 67-70.

Special Ed

69-70 fe 4-speed has 39o and 250 std and longer holes and cutout on 1 side than 67-68 shorter holes and only 390 stamped and all fe 4-speeds are taller and thicker brackets and getting hard to find as I sold 10 of them in last few years and haven't found one in years.

The Going Thing

We're aware. I posted pictures of both side by side.  They're being reproduced by the way too. They just haven't been released yet.

The Going Thing

I made it clear with my original post in the lounge.  I posted pictures of both big and small block mounts when this first started. So negative, no mouse in my pocket.

I appreciate all the posts (and the pictures). I learned which one was my 67GT500's, The fact my 70 Boss 302 used the same style as the 67-70's, and the last two in my picture were for a BB/250 69/70 when I started the discussion thinking they were for my Boss 302.  Thanks Everyone.

Not a fact. FYI your Boss 302 did not use a 67 or 68 SB style bracket . Maybe you didn't pick up on it but the sides of the brackets changed in late 68 production to accommodate better speedo cable access apparently. You have 67/68 SB brackets and you have 69/70 SB brackets . By the same token there is a 67/68 BB bracket and a 69/70 BB bracket. Review the various pictures again and compare the cutout on the sides between the mounting ears. The ones that are more cut out or contoured are the 69/70 versions. The ones that are not cutout are the 67/68 versions.

Bob, agreed. The 69/70 E 4 speed are the same with the exception of the elongated slots. The reason for the elongated slots was the mount is also for use with the 6 cyl manual transmission used in 69/70 Mustangs.

Keith, besides the slots the sides are different as I mentioned. Review the pictures please.
