Cobra intake

Optional early 289 cobra intake manifold.  post a picture of the area near the boss vacuum fitting  on the rear runner hard to see

I believe it could also come in early 65 GT 350. It has firing order but no S1MS part number which a few had. Rick

JD needs to publish a book on Cobra small block intakes.  He seems to have done the most definitive study of them to date.

I have one like that but the plenum shield is affixed by rivets, not hex heads.  Bought it in 1965 from SAI through local Ford dealer.

this intake is the 2nd version of the small letter as it has the bung in the area to run a PCV fitting.  only the very first 65 GT350s might have had this intake.  The very first intakes had no provision to run a PCV and did not come on GT350s - only Cobras

(thanks for the complements - but I'm also trying to get a better understanding of these variations, sequence of occurrence and applications.  Others know more)

No, it's the second version with firing order on the back just like the OP's.
