Nice bike, great accessories.....but not a Schwinn

When I was a kid, I had this neat red 3 speed (with the shifter) on the center top frame, called the 'The Hitchhiker' made by Huffy. It was all the envy of the neighborhood kids, and at my school. I guess someone had to have it more than me...it was stolen. My first 'hot rod'.
Mine was similar to this one:
Past owned Shelby's:
1968 GT-350--Gold
1970 GT-500--#3129--Grabber Orange.
Current lifelong projects:
1969 Mustang Fastback/FOX chassis, 5 speed, 4 wheel discs, with a modern Can-Am 494 (Boss 429), Kaase heads, intake with a 1425 cfm 'B' Autolite Inline carb, ala Trans-Am style
1968/70 Olds 442 W-30

It was a real neat bike. I never seen another. I have looked, and looked, nothing.

Another bike I owned as an adult was also a neat one: Bianchi 21 speed, red, and also a real looker. The girls loved it! This one I sold a few years ago...
I know, should not have sold it!  lol

Nope. It definitely said 'HITCH HIKER' on the chain guard with a hitch hiker symbol with a thumbs up.

This Huffy is very close to what I had, except mine was red (including the fenders), and the chain guard was larger. The name 'Hitch Hiker' was in black letters with the thumb up logo.
