Saw an interesting question on the Forum the other day.... let's expand it and have some fun.

Since SAAC-45, the 2020 National Convention, fell to Covid-19...

What do we call the 2021 National Convention?

  • SAAC-46, since SAAC-45 goes in the books as "Cancelled"
  • SAAC-45, with 2020 as a "null year"
  • SAAC-45A
  • SAAC-45.1
  • SAAC-2021, and change the whole sequence system
...or....your suggestion?   8)

The conventions are labelled in sequence of the event not by year ( as in SAAC 2020), so the next one is SAAC 45.  It was postponed, not deleted. 8)
Just nuts.

SAAC 45 was cancelled- We need an updated T-shirt  ;)

SAAC 46 it is

Now, where will it be held  8)

SAAC 45 because there has not been a SAAC 45 yet. So where is it going to be/

I vote for a less prestigious track. So it can be a stand alone show instead of piggy backing the SVRA. That way we can have more track time. Possibly even less money. Have better place for pits instead of the SVRA having the better, closer pits.

Recent acquisition by new owner, full course repaving under way, a bright future for a 2.27 mile road course.  8)

Remember the Basketball season that didn't happen a few years ago because of a strike? Everyone one was saying ...OOOH my gawd what are we going to do? Then in reality no one really cared and life went on without it, until the following season. Something similar im sure.  45 CANCELLED-  46 WE BEGIN AGAIN !

Regardless of the year 2020, 2021 or something else the next SAAC convention will be the 45th convention. SAAC 45 works for Me.

+1.   Continuing to use the actual number should help spectators from constantly asking the question "How many conventions have there been?"

I wholeheartedly agree about a less prestigious place. Back to us, keep costs in check, less flash, more gas.

Saac 45 carryover

Best suggestion yet.  Add it to the hats and shirts if the ones for SAAC 45 are already done. 8)
Just nuts.
