Zip ties on export brace

Where zip ties even invented in 1967 I see them a lot ,and if so would it be the clear ones or the black ones ,hanging off the export brace and how many would there be just two ,on the passenger side ?  Holding up some wires from the battery ? Thanks

Yes they were, 2 where used Passenger side holding the amp gauge wires to the export brace, not clear or black - an off-white color.  (Forgot the brand name at the moment)

Panduit is the mfg. Zip ties were also used on mechanical oil pressure gauge line . One at apron opposite oil pressure line fitting and one on the engine gauge feed harness at firewall to hold the pressure line before it entered the firewall.

At a fireman friends suggestion I will mention that sometimes there were two or three zip ties place on the PS lines as they ran along the frame rail towards the cooler . The effort was to bundle them together. This PS zip tie practice unlike the other places mentioned that were done on every car was somewhat random and not done on every car.

Off topic but were there any zip ties for the 66 export brace?

   Not for '66 , but some of the '66's I've owned and worked on had black friction tape  on the pass side of the export brace holding up the wires to the solenoid. Too many to be "happenstance" IMHO. Panduits were developed for the aerospace industry which was HUGE out here in the LA/OC area in the '60s. No surprise SAI used them in '67. Heat was their downfall and many fell off .
