All:

I have a hydraulic cylinder on my 69 that is leaking.  I am getting ready to change it and the clevis pin that is in place is held on with a friction clip instead of a pin through the clevis.   Does anyone know if the clevis for a 69 is different than one for a 65-68.  I seem to recall that they were and before I buy one I want to know I am getting the right part.

I took a quick look at NPD's catalog, since Rick is usually fairly picky.  It shows the same pin with hole drilled through for 65-70 BUT then has a note that 69-70 might be longer than the 15/16 one they sell.

John's Mustang in Bellaire has the same kit, it would appear.

Not the answer you were searching for. . .

John, you followed my same path.  I seem to recall that 69/70 is different but I did not want to run by Johns and buy that kit unless it was the right part.  That may be why my clevis pins are held in with flat push nuts.  I did look on West Coast Classic Cougar because those guys seem to really know the details and they show a smooth original clevis with a flat push nut so maybe my car is right.

The West Coast Cougar guys did a partial rebuild on a tilt column for me, and even paid more than I expected for all of my extra tilt parts.  Nice guys.
