I have a couple of photos of that car that are in this video, that I found a couple of years ago on the net.

I wonder if this is a story like the Jim Morrison '67, and will it ever be found ?

Good story. Hope his channel grows with more lost cars to discuss.
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

It's probably sitting in some old Ford employees pole barn in the middle of MI.

^^^ that was a fascinating read, thanks for the link Mike.

Of course, it was a Cougar Eliminator hood scoop, not an XR-7 (hood scoops were not a part of the XR-7 package).

According to Charlie Henry's Kar-Kraft book, that first owner contacted Kar-Kraft because of a cylinder head problem, but because it was a prototype with cast-iron heads they were unserviceable.

Cool stuff.

I have been Facebook friends with Wes for sometime and have talked to him Via messaging on a few rare cars like the one of 2 Twister Ranchero. Wes owns a very rare B9 prototype also that Ed has conversed with him about. Now I need to start searching barns near me. Missed out on Tony King's vert it would be nice to find this car or the Heinz Prictor 69 Black/red interior sunroof R-code Mach1 I saw in a Brighton Mi Pole barn about 36 years ago and haven't seen it since.  Gary
