Hopefully, the new owner will see this and share the details.  Awesome find!

There were 2 Shelby's in the estate..

A 65 and 66 GT 350....
Neither ran and they were sitting for decades

While barn finds are cool it saddens me that such cars have sat for decades and couldn't be enjoyed the way they were meant to be. Gary

I may have figured out the VIN. Was the name of the owner Tom by any chance? Out of respect for both the seller and buyer I do not want to identify my opinion about what VIN might be.

Greg

Not sure of why it should be such a secret, looks like the deal is done.  What am I missing?

Better for the car to hammer on it a bit rather than let it rot.....I want one....

Greg,

Since no VIN was not mentioned or discussed I assumed that they for some reason wanted it to remain private. I have seen that in the past in the Forums. Hopefully someone with direct knowledge will provide the information and the backstory. It is a great find for someone.

98SVT - was 06GT

I hope it doesn't get restored. Clean it and drive it. It looks unmolested just dirty. If the engine is dead rebuild it. I'm tired of seeing a line of 100 point cars. This would be great to see at any show and would actually have a crowd around it all day.

That 65 would be a good stable mate to our 66 & 67.
Somebody got a sweet project.
Congrats!

Britton

Someone got a cool 65 project. I too hope that they keep it as original as possible and don't fully restore it.

The '66 has been sold. Actually, I believe, now 2 times since.
