69 Shelby hood

Looked at a hood that was off a early car and had a very rough finish except for the frame which was smooth.  Didn't have metal reinforcement for hood latch.  Did early cars have the rough finish?

I am looking at NOS hood in inventory and it is smooth finish and does have latch reinforced

ANYTIME U have question about any fiberglass part for 69 send me photo and I will compare it to NOS --we literally have at least 1 of each in storage just in case I will do another restoration
