I'm assuming these are all original GT cars  but I'm not sure, but they almost all had  right hand drive

Nah, I believe they are built for the movie

Those cars were not in the movie...they have the correct original paint schemes.
The movie cars were, well, 'augmented' for a different visual impact.

and there was no red MK IV, as that had not taken place yet in the movie timeline.

Actually the scene with toward the end that portrayed Dan Gurney getting out of the red car ( one of the Gurney boys played the part) was supposed to be a MkIV variant.

Richstang

You're right. I did forget about the red car at the end.
It appeared to be an MKI (or MKII) with the later MKIV side C-stripe added, to look the part.

99.99% confidence rate they are the movie cars. The last pre Covid LASAAC show had the movie cars and a couple of the originals. The insurance bill to get the originals at the show was quite high and paid by a fan of the cars. For some reason (well actually because I've got enough Day 1 pictures and prefer Day 2 cars) I only snapped a GT350ish station wagon and this decal on one of the replicas. It's a take off of the CA Clean Air decal that allows electric cars to use the carpool lane.

Well it seems I'm off the mark again with this movie.   :'(
I was thinking about the Daytona Speedway scenes where the Ford GT's were painted in some unusual colors.
This is a good excuse to watch the movie again.  ;D

Thanks for posting the photos 68krrrr!
Did you get any pictures of the classics Shelby's that were attending?

There was also the COCOA Concours De Nice in South Coast Plaza. I heard Irwindale was a nightmare getting in with a long line etc. Linda Vaughn got tired of waiting in line and left. The promotors went out and pulled a couple other "guests" out of line so they didn't have to wait.
OC Mustang Club also had their show on Sunday.
This Saturday Dave Friedman will be signing his new book at OVC (behind Shelby's 19021 S. Figueroa St, Gardena, CA 90248) There will be some cars there. The IRS R Model is in the Ford booth at Barrett Jackson in LV though. Next week it will be on display at Ford Country in Henderson NV
