"The Voice of Willow" Alan Bolte's car. Somewhere I have some shots of its crash at Laguna when an axle broke..... and a fond memory of it at Willow when the nitrous bottle went off due to being overheated while parked in the hot sun.

Definitely a race car! Raced, crashed, banged up, repaired, raced repeat! This car has been rubber side up many times. Glad to see it's still out there.

Notice how the radiator filler neck has been relocated. I suspect it is a modern fix. That is because the galaxie radiators used in the R model were taller then a Mustang and notorious for hitting the GT350 hood. Most R models teams just smashed down the neck a little to solve or live with the issue.

Yup. That's what I ended up doing with my radiator after lowering it into the opening with about 1/8" clearance at the lower radiator support. Two 1/8" neoprene pads to isolate lower tank.
