Just hit 241,000 miles

Yesterday I took the car out for a little drive.
It turned over 241,000 miles
I really enjoy just driving it around
It's been a long fun trip getting to this

That's really cool, third time around!  I'm only on my second with my Hertz.  Good to know you get it out whenever possible.

Yeah and had it been a Ferrari you would have hit less than 1,000 miles before needing a major overhaul. There are reasons Ford beat Ferrari into the ground in the 60s and then again at the 2016 LeMans. Congratulations on the journey. Motor on...

It's my hang glider on the roof racks, used to drive to Nags Head from Annapolis Maryland to hang glide in the early 70's

Roy, that was the plan to have it over 50 years (purchased Dec 1971) and show up at SAAC47 after driving it across the US again (or drive through all of the 48 states) and have over 250,000 miles on it, don't clean it and show it in Concours
Covid knocked 18 months of driving out of that plan

Neat!  I might have seen you hanging!  We lived outside DC when my dad as at the Pentagon.  1972-summer 75.  We vacationed at Rodanthe NC on the outer banks for a week each summer.  We'd drive up to Kill Devil and see gliders and such.

Broke my arm hang gliding there in 1973. First person to seriously injure themselves at Jockeys Ridge. Nearest hospital was in Elizabeth City. Still have the hang glider in the shed
