69 GT350 mystery part location

I have this piece of what looks like windlace that is bent into a right angle and I have no idea where it goes.
Any thoughts?

May have been excess cutoff the top long roof windlace when installed and ended up under carpet like many other items do.

Maybe but in the back of my mind I remember taking it off and can't believe I didn't bag it and make a note about it.

I have seen black tape or other protectors on top of thefloor  braces that hold the bottom of the rear side fiberglass panels in place.

It goes on the behind the dash on driver side firewall. If i recall...was one of the last pieces i removed in the dash area during disassembly.

Must be to help wiring harness keep from rubbing the metal shape edges and can easy fall off and probly not installed on all cars and not seen after install. I wonder if this is shown in assembly manual.
