2 owner car that spent its entire life 10 minutes from my house. Put away in late 80's. Restored couple years back. Blast to drive.

Great looking car.  Do you know if the louvered hood was original to the car?

As far as we know it was added shortly after purchase. Probably was all that was available from Shelby or wanted to try and solve overheating issues that were common. Either way a car with mid Jan build date would not have had louvered hood from factory. All early pictures of car from original owner show louvered hood.

According to records #682 had non-louvered hood when completed at Shelby American.
