When will tributes start showing up? You could make a $3000 Fox body look like a 100 grand SAAC fairly easily.

Tributes started showing up after day one, back to at least 1993. With all the VINs known and owner history, it is just about impossible to pass off a fake as real. I track clones too.
Parts are not as easy to get as you think. The wheels alone are extremely difficult to obtain originals. Replicas wheels are very difficult and next to impossible to get. Most clones are getting stripes wrong! The leather interiors are another challenging battle. To duplicate them you need a  true expert who knows the graphics and material type for each model. They don't exist and would be reproduction leather if ever replicated
Pricing has started to increase with the low mileage Fox Mustang demand. There are not a lot of buyers looking for the SAAC Car Company cars. Saleens are far more in demand and so are the '93 Cobras and Cobra Rs. The wrapper SAAC MKI car offered at the recent Mecum action brought up the pricing frenzy. It will fade as time passes.SAAC won't be building continuation SAAC cars anytime soon. That development crew is much older now and it would not have a strong enough demand. Ford stopped making Cobra R models decades ago for the same reason.

The SAAC Car Company was an official car manufacturer (Not an aftermarket addition). These are the rarest FOX cars built by an official manufacturer. They were EPA certified and compliant. MKI CX1 was the certification car federally approved. Only 62 SAAC cars were completed with 64 numbered over three years of production. (The two extra cars were never started and the VIN numbers are known).

MKI =36 units (1991 and 1992)
There were 36 MKI's completed over the two years;
This includes 30 production and 6 company PR cars (all were White with Blue stripes)

MKII = 15 units (1992 and 1993)
There were only 15 MKII's completed with the convertible added to the line-up. New colors were added (Red with White stripes, Black with Gold stripes, and White with Blue stripes were offered)
Only 12 convertibles were built along with 3 hatchbacks. This includes 1 red PR convertible.

Snake =11 units (1992 and 1993)
These were a lower featured base unit that could be optioned up to the MKI level.
Only 11 SAAC Snakes were completed, continuing with three paint colors available.
There were 4 convertible and 8 hatchbacks were built.



Compared to the next lowest production Fox model, there were 104 Cobra R models all built in 1993 and all built in red. As Fox Mustangs rise in value with age, the SAAC cars follow. All were cared for and most were put away for safe keeping. To date, only one has been found as previously used as daily driver. That is no longer the case. All the others have low mileage, typically less than 10,000 miles. Only a few have a few hundred miles or less. It is extremely difficult to put a value on these cars as only one or two come up for sale on a yearly basis. For that reason, prices are all over the map.

I was a contributor to the original 91-93 SAAC forum and we had some interesting topics if you recall... I just came across this site tonight and was reading through when I came upon your post, which intrigued me to register (only after I found I could no longer log in to this site).  Glad to see you're still online.

Anyhow, I saw your comment above about the original forum crash and since the 91-93 SAAC Fox history is extremely important, I wanted to post this below link for you and others.... Maybe there is a way to "bring back" what was lost from this link into this forum.  If the old info from the link can't be merged with the current, then maybe it could be a new thread or stickied somehow so it gets visibility for future readers or seekers of the data many of us compiled in the original 91-93 SAAC sub-forum.

Every post from the old 91-93 SAAC forum is readable in this link... so not all is totally lost.

As you said and I agree, there isn't much info specially dedicated to the 91-93 SAAC Mustangs.  Folks today don't even know what one was is, unless you're a true Mustang Enthusiast or a Fox Mustang owner from years past. 

Being in the hobby for over 30 years now, I've collected original Mustang brochures including some SAAC which I'll share some images here. I'm sure some 91-93 SAAC owners may have these, or have seen them on eBay time to time.  They're getting more rare as years pass and paper gets discarded by those who don't care.

The first attached image is a Dealership only double sided 8x11 card.

The second attached image is a full size fold out multi-page mailer brochure for those seeking to buy one of the MKI's. The original SAAC envelope is seen behind it and the small SAAC seal seen on the inside page of the brochure has never been broken.
