Hello all,

I am new to the forum.  Would anyone have any information and history of 5s342 that might be shared?

Thank you in advance.

Guess you have already checked with Howard the person in charge of the 65 Registry. If you haven't that is not a bad place to start

Using the search I found this earlier thread when it was for sale before/still

Thank you this is very helpful.

Hello all,

This car is being marketed at $479,999 or about $50,000 higher than the previous listing last summer.  Thoughts on the pricing and value of this car?

Thank you for any input.

Its not crazy, 450k to 550 is probably what the going rate is for a 1965

Rickmustang

Agreed. Think 289 Cobra prices eventually.

That's what I would expect to see as well.

Deduct projected restoration costs of one and that is also what I'd expect to see for one in need of even just a "refurbishing".

So figure 350ish for one IF you could find one like that?

Privately cash talks. With a dealer involved, foregetaboutit. But then with a cash deal, you have to figure in the cost of the armed guards and security measures?

Thank you all for the input.  It is amazing how the 65's have appreciated...

I saw it last summer at Fantasy Junction on my way to the SAAC convention, as I noted on the other thread.  And it's still listed on the FJ website, but maybe they didn't update it.

Which will also go up and still be twice as much as a GT350.

The going rate depends heavily on the condition and originality of the car in question. There are many 65s which fall well below and well above that range. But, generally, a nice 65 with a well done restoration does sell within the 450-550 range.
