Are these .590 C clamp's available from Vendors?
And used to attach the short rubber section right at carb on 289 Hipo?

The originals crimp clamps are getting very hard to find . There are generic substitutes that look the part identical (no dimples)except for the markings . The same goes for the spring clamps. There is historical picture documentation for the spring clamps . There is only anecdotal evidence for the crimp clamps being used there although they are used at carburetor fuel filters in other applications.   I would suggest using the springs clamps at the filter especially since you have a early car which the historical picture is of a early car so we know in at least the early car case the spring clamp is most likely the typical.

I agree too about using the spring clamps, the photo that I think your referring to does show them quite clearly, thanks always guys!
