When was the last '66 made? In the for sale section is a T-10 listed as correct for a late '66, has a date code of 7-27-66.

Seems like there would have been some delay even after the case was cast (assembly, shipping, etc.), making this available even later in the year.

I am seeing 1964 and 1965 casting dates on other parts. Surely all those various dates tell you something.

My "first" impression looking at the main case date was actually 7-27-65, but can see how it could be "66"...

That would make sense, as my car, 1134, build date at San Jose in February 1966, has an aluminum case and cast iron tail.  I believe the case date in 7-27-65, but have to double check.

I think you guys are right, which would make this correct for early 1966 model year.

There is an assembly date usually stamped in the flat on the side of the main case .

He corrected his ad, the date was '65, not '66, so I guess this post is irrelevant now.
