Hello, long time member from wayback. Haven't been active for years here due to selling my cars.

I'm looking for a Pink Mustang or Shelby (doesn't have to be original) that the owner would be interested in volunteering the use of and having featured in Playboy themed photoshoot in the Jacksonville to St. Augustine Florida area. Orlando is a possible location also. Date is to be determined. The owner of course will get pics of their own!

I've attached a pic of inspiration for the project.

Would you care to elaborate?
I'd like to but can't out of respect for my friend who told me about it. Showed me a pic in its "current sitting state" Before resto and will be doing a feature on it when it is done most likely for a book. Current owners have owned the car for decades and knew what they had(have).

1969 Bunny of the Year........
That car is being restored now.

Is it going back Pink or Factory Gray?
It was repainted another color but the gray is still there behind the removed parts. The pink survives in the trunk and on the dash board. It is under resto and the plan is going back pink. The owners I'm told want their privacy until they get the car done. They knew it was Kreski's car the whole time.

Another missing car surfaces? Wasn't there a thread on the old board about this car?

Serial number 9F02R481027 was GT500 that started off as a Pastel Gray fastback. The car was repainted "Playboy Pink" by a Ford subcontractor. The car was then shipped to Chaffee Motors in California, before being presented to Playboy's Playmate of the Year, Connie Kreski. It's the only known pink Shelby ever built. The car is currently listed as owner unknown.

If the owners are proceeding as described, they are not doing themselves any favors. It would have been a better idea to show the car unrestored first, similar to what Mr Jackson did with "Little Red". It is much more difficult to authenticate a restored car.

Regardless, I look forward to seeing it.

PS Pastel Grey is more white than grey in appearance

I have no skin in the game. I would hope they would also register the car. My friend who told me knows too many scenarios where someone revealed a "noted" car they had and then people searched them out trying to buy the car. My take is these owners don't want that at this time. Also the car was hiding in plain sight for anyone to see for at least a decade........I know, I got a pic of it. I'm also surprised that no one on SAAC found the car either.

Hopefully it wasn't "discovered" in a Mexican junkyard next to a 68 Highland Green fastback and 1/2 restored with lots of new sheet metal before it surfaced for authentication.

Connie was one of my favorites back in the day. I might have the magazine still. When I turned 18 my mom bought me a subscription to Playboy and when I turned 21 she got me a Playboy Club card.
