Forgot to release trailer parking brake.

The parking brake fitted to a trailer typically features a valve with a push/pull button. Pulling the button out applies the trailer parking brakes; pushing the button in releases the parking brakes. The trailer parking brake valve must be applied at all times when a trailer is uncoupled from the truck.

Thanks for the explanation.  Initially I thought it might have been oil that the tires rolled across but that didn't make sense because of the lack of any other tires doing the same things and leaving similar markings on different parallel planes.  Still, one hell of a long skid mark.  Too bad it is not a single pair of rubber tire marks.  That would make for a better story.  I was out rollin' in mah 5.0 when a Camaro tried to race me. So I wound up the vicious Boss 302 and left a skin mark a quarter mile long.

I believe the real LONGEST skid mark was at Bonneville by Craig Breedlove in the SPIRIT OF AMERICA which was 5-6 miles long... So theres that!

According to Official Guinness Records, The skidmarks made by the jet-powered Spirit of America, driven by Norman Craig Breedlove (USA), after the car went out of control at Bonneville in Utah, USA, on 15 October 1964, was nearly 10 km (6 miles) long.

Craig lives about 35 minutes away from me in the town of Rio Vista. About 20 years ago or so the Nor-Cal Shelby club was invited to his shop where he was working on a new LSR vehicle but ran out of money before completing it. Unfortunately I had to work that day. Thinking about giving him a call to see if he wants to go out for lunch or something.
