1966 GT350 Hood latch attaching brackets, finish

The two bracket latches that mount to the hood (large single pin and wire safety loop), what is the correct finish for these two pieces? Thanks in advance.

Same as Mustang Pin is/was zinc dichromate . Loop was P&O  (phosphate and oil)
Late 66 unrestored example below.
P&O attaching bolts and nut are a bit rusty
